Happy Tuesday pals!
Today I booked my tickets to see HUNGER GAMES this weekend with a friend!!! I am beyond excited and am now trying to figure out how I can find the time to re-watch the last movie before then. I’m pretty sure it’s available on Netflix for a limited time as a promotion deal for the new movie.
My husband thinks I’m crazy because he caved one night and watched the first movie with me and was miserable after five minutes. He doesn’t understand my love for fiction and fantasy. I grew up with Harry Potter, how could you not want to live in a world where you could turn out to be a witch or wizard? I am hoping we get to Orlando someday soon so I can see the new HP world they built down there. #bucketlist
I didn’t work out yesterday OR today so I am going to bed a little cranky tonight. It’s amazing how quickly you start to miss those endorphins and your energy levels just tank. Iced coffee is not the way to get through a day! At least I haven’t been eating too badly. With this insanely cold weather I decided to make a hearty, but easy chili for dinner. I can’t believe how FAST this was to have ready!
I browned the beef for about 5-10mins, then added the McCormick Hot Chili Seasoning mix. I added one can of diced tomatoes and one can of dark red kidney beans and 10minutes later it was hot and ready for dinner! We let it marinate on low because we weren’t ready to eat yet and it smelled up the house so nicely. It was the perfect bowl of cozy on a cold November night after a long day at work.
Sadly I was supposed to go out to CT to visit my mom and sister-in-law tomorrow night who is up visiting with my nephew this week, but I had to cancel because there is just too much going on with work and the later nights are taking a toll. That being said, I am determined to get my butt to the elliptical or treadmill in the morning so I have a boost of much needed energy to power through another day!
Any other Hunger Games or Harry Potter fans? Did you read the books first? – I don’t know if you can like the movies without reading them… they can be pretty corny at times.
How many days off from working out does it take for you to get cranky/notice a difference in your mood?
What’s your favorite comfort food in this polar vortex weather?
